Today we honor the Goddess Ostara. She is a fertility goddess where the names East and Easter come from. Her time is dawn and her symbols are the rabbit and the egg. Her favorite colors are the spring pastels: green, yellow, pink, baby blue. Take some time today to honor the season. Build and altar for Spring and honor the Spirit of the Goddess. Enjoy some treats of the season. Color and decorate eggs.

Ostara is a perfect point of balance on the Wheel of the Year. Night and Day, Dark and Light are equal, but the year is now Waxing, so at this moment light defeats darkness and we celebrate rebirth, renewal and coming alive. 

After a period of great pause and quarantine, we see a glimpse of the abundant fertility to come.  It is time for hope to become action. Energy is expansive and exuberant.

In this moment of great balance take time today to contemplate how you can bring more balance to your life. It is time to be reborn and start a new. OSTARA BLESSING

From its winter sleep the earth is awoken,

The cycle of nature, true and unbroken,

The promise of spring, of life, a new start,

To fill you with faith, mind, body and heart.

The perfect wheel of nature keeps spinning,

With proof that an ending is just the beginning.
