Beltane Blessings

It’s that magickal time of year where our hopes and dreams bloom into action, Beltane! Beltane runs deep in our hearts. We absolutely love the creative spirit and energy it ignites and practicing all its beautiful ancient traditions. Flower head wreaths, flower baskets, flower meditations, maypoles, sacred fires, beautiful altars and ritual ceremony. Faerie magick is alive and bursting!

This year, our Beltane will be much different than others, as we are gathering in sacred ritual virtually. It’s a new creative way of making it happen and we are going for it!  We are very excited to gather together for our virtual flowery sabbat, although we certainly miss gathering together for it in real life.

Beltane is the midpoint between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice, to honor and bless the abundance of our Earth! At Beltane, Earth energies are strong and active; life is bursting.

The word ‘Beltane’ originates from the Celtic God ‘Bel’, meaning ‘the bright one’ and the Gaelic word ‘teine’ meaning fire. Together they make ‘Bright Fire’, or ‘Goodly Fire’ and traditionally bonfires were lit to honor the Sun and encourage the support of Bel and the Sun’s light to nurture and protect the community.

Here’s our Beltane Blessing for you:

May you long time sun shine upon you

All love surround you

And the pure light within you

Guide your way on

We hope you have a magical weekend full of festive flowery fun!

Blessed Be!
